Our Saints Justice Presidents, Emily Schiller and Megan Mahu, led our Saints Justice team in the collection of Love Bags for The 2nd Chance Ministry, a Charity founded by Mike Rovers, Deacon and former St. Anne teacher and Catholic Studies Department Head.  Our Saints Justice Team asked period 4 classes to participate in the collection of various hygiene items for people in need. The Saint Anne community was very generous and Mr. Rovers was overwhelmed with gratitude.

Chastity Presentation

St. Anne welcomed back Daniela Ungaru and her team to promote the virtue of chastity to our grade 9 Catholic Studies students. All grade 9 religion classes received a three day dynamic presentation that involved interactive activities, impactful videos and discussion about the physical, emotional  and spiritual benefits experienced from abstaining from premarital sexual activity. Students learned  that their body is the "Temple of the Holy Spirit" and should always be treated with respect.

Grade 9's Make Lunches for the Downtown Mission

Mr. Talerico's grade 9 religion class works together to make 50 lunches to be picked up by Mr. Staley and delivered to the Downtown Mission. Students donated the food and their teacher Mr. Talerico helped organize them into an assembly line. It was an activity that encouraged both gratitude in our students for their many blessings as well as community outreach.

Saints Justice 2017

On Sept 13th, our Saints Justice Team held their first meeting for 2017. Mrs. Gyemi and Mrs. Collins were pleased to see so many new members of all grade levels join this year. Our team works together to help change the world both globally and locally. Some of our many initiatives include:  Making lunches for the Downtown Mission every month, Halloween For Hunger can drive, attending rallies to bring social awareness to the suffering of others, collection of Love Bags, fundraising to build schools in other parts of the world etc...

Guest Speakers Inspire Grade 12 Students

On October 5th, Rev. Don Hull and fellow student Daniel Golovenko shared their personal stories about their experience of listening to "God's call" to action.  Each speaker helped students to understand that God speaks to us in different ways and that God is calling each of us to use our unique gifts to transform the world.
